It is my joy to welcome you to First Presbyterian Church, a place where love grows through worship, mission giving, fellowship, and Christian Education. Our Mission Statement reflects our desire to serve Jesus Christ and to reach others with the good news of God's grace:

We the members of First Presbyterian Church believe that God has shown His love for humankind through Jesus Christ. We accept the teachings of Christ and strive to follow them in the acts of our daily lives. We seek spiritual growth through worship and study. We strive to support each other and minister to others through the sharing of God's gifts, love, and understanding.

Before I became a pastor I was an academic dean for a two year college associated with the University of Kentucky and I was also a professor of English and drama.

I have a BA in Education from a small college in West Virginia and a Master's from the University of Arkansas. My doctorate is from Vanderbilt University and I have a Master's of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary.

I enjoy doing needlework and creating cards as well as curling up with a good mystery.
